Living Love
Awakening to our true nature is perhaps the most radical evolutionary step a human being can make. But just like all the steps before this one, it doesn’t end here. Awakening to the pure deep well of stillness and rich wisdom is just the beginning; the beginning of allowing this presence that we are to penetrate every aspect of our being.
This presence that we are, this light, begins to move in. This light has been waiting for this opportunity for a long time, and it sees no need to rush things now. The house must be stripped of the old wallpaper, varnish and glued linoleum that are so outdated, so not needed for this new occupant. This new occupant, this light has a keen eye as it looks around its new digs, seeing potential everywhere. Under the old paint lies a blank space and the light uses its creative perception to feel how to shape and cut and color the space for every circumstance, for every dance that might take place. This light loves to create; it loves to step out of anything previously known.
As this light moves in full time, it really feels what it’s like to live here in this house. It feels its fingers, its smile, and its heart. It senses its ability to move through the whole house however it wants to in the moment, without any input from the previous tenant. The light might find some old belongings of the previous tenant, which it recognizes as of no use in this new house. This light has no notion of a good house or a bad house, it only knows itself as the new occupier, and it now has full jurisdiction. It doesn’t think about how to improve its own experience of itself; it knows that to know itself fully is to be aware of itself living. It doesn’t abide by any rules; it doesn’t care what the neighbors might think, although it senses within itself a goodness and a genuine caring towards all creation.
The new owner of this house isn’t attached in any way of being recognized as the new tenant. It really doesn’t think of itself as something to be noticed. It just enjoys living and experiencing itself. It doesn’t think about talking about its new house or the quiet way it moves about. It actually seems to enjoy its own quietude, and the absence of any notoriety doesn’t affect it a bit.
The light in this house takes its own sweet time, knowing it has all the time it needs to discover how it would like to move through this life. It unfolds and reveals it’s never ending potential as love, never fully knowing how much or how far that love will grow. The light delights in its own quiet way; living this love is so deeply satisfying. Living in this house is all the light ever wanted to do.
